Tiger Touch, Inc
TTUR MISSION STATEMENT
INTRODUCTION
For over a decade Tiger Touch, a non-profit 501-c-3 organization, has sheltered great cats, studying their needs and sharing results with the public. Tiger Touch has become a niche leader in wildlife education and animal welfare concepts. Many classrooms use our materials with great success. We propose to build on this tradition with a new on-site advanced learning facility providing colloquiums for college and graduate level students. With the environment we propose, it will be a highly beneficial and sought-out learning experience.
A premium learning center is a natural extension of our work. In this overview we propose creation of an off-campus specialty educational center able to transcend the conventional classroom and integrate conservation studies with understanding, motivation and most importantly a mission sense with political aims. It calls upon older, tried models of presenting the feel and understanding of nature with powerful innovative approaches.
Great cats and desert environment rarely fail to have a profound impact, often resulting in an intense dedication to nature’s cause. We are confident this experience will play a crucial role in developing the leadership needed to slow the rampant destruction of habitat and wildlife, something neither conventional education nor political will has yet to accomplish.
Tiger Touch University Retreat restores the "nature" in "human nature," reconnecting visitors with a world made of differenct ecosystems rather than different ideologies. It does this by combining the best of formal education with Nature's ability to speak for itself.
